Bulk Product Editor & Scheduler for BigCommerce ·
operated by Clockwork Apps · last updated 2026-06-28
Bulk Product Editor & Scheduler lets you change many
products at once instead of editing them one by one in the BigCommerce
control panel. Filter the products you want, choose the fields to change,
preview the result, then run the edit immediately or schedule it for
later — with one-click revert if you change your mind.
1. Installing the app
- From the BigCommerce App Marketplace, open the
Bulk Product Editor & Scheduler listing and click
Get this app → Install.
- Review the requested permission (Products — read & modify) and
confirm. The app needs only your product catalog; it never accesses
customer, order, or payment data.
- The app opens inside your BigCommerce control panel. Your
14-day free trial starts automatically — no card
required to explore.
2. Quick start: your first bulk edit
The whole flow is four steps: Filter → Choose fields →
Preview → Run. Click New Job on the dashboard
to begin, and give the job a name you'll recognise later (for example,
"Summer sale −15%").
3. Step 1 — Filter the products
Narrow down exactly which products the edit should touch. You can combine:
- Search by keyword (name / SKU).
- Category — one or more catalog categories.
- Brand — one or more brands.
- Price range — minimum and/or maximum.
- Visibility — visible or hidden products only.
Tip: start with a narrow filter (a single
category) for your first run so you can see exactly how an edit behaves
before applying it store-wide.
4. Step 2 — Choose what to change
Pick one or more fields to update. Each field offers the operations that
make sense for it:
Product-level fields
- Name, description, brand, categories, visibility.
- Weight and dimensions.
- Custom fields and tags.
Variant-level fields
- Price, sale price, retail price, cost.
- SKU, MPN, UPC, GTIN, bin/picking number.
- Weight and inventory level.
Operations
- Set to a fixed value.
- Increase / decrease by an amount or a percentage
(great for price changes and sales).
- Find & replace or prefix / suffix
for text fields.
- Round prices to clean endings (e.g.
.99).
5. Step 3 — Preview
Before anything is written, the app shows you a live preview: the list of
matched products with their current value and the
new value side by side, including a product thumbnail so
you can confirm you're editing the right items. Review the count and the
before/after carefully.
Important: bulk edits change real products
in your live storefront. Always confirm the preview count and values look
right before continuing.
6. Step 4 — Run now or schedule
- Run now — the edit is applied immediately and you can
watch progress in the activity log.
- Schedule — pick a date and time and the job runs
automatically then. Use this for flash sales, seasonal price changes, or
off-peak catalog updates.
7. Job history & activity log
Every job is recorded with its filter, the fields it changed, when it ran,
and a per-product result (success / skipped / failed, and which fields were
updated). Open any job to see the full activity log.
8. Undo / revert a job
Before a job runs, the app captures a snapshot of every product it is
about to change. If a run produced an unexpected result, open the job and
click Revert — the app restores the snapshotted values in
one click.
Tip: revert works best immediately after a
run. If a product was deleted in BigCommerce after the snapshot, that
single product can't be restored — the rest still revert normally.
9. Billing & free trial
The app is $9.99 / month with a 14-day free
trial, billed securely through Stripe. You can cancel any time
from the app's billing settings or Stripe's customer portal; cancellation
takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Full terms are in
the Terms of Service.
10. Troubleshooting & FAQ
My filter returns no products
Loosen the filter — remove the price range or visibility constraint, or
check that the chosen category/brand actually contains products.
A few products were skipped
A product can be skipped if it has no matching variant for a variant-level
edit, or if BigCommerce rejected the value (for example, a negative price).
The activity log shows the reason per product.
I don't see product images in the preview
Thumbnails come from each product's primary image in BigCommerce. Products
with no image simply show a blank thumbnail; the edit still applies.
